What are your thoughts on deciding to pursue an MSW degree?
After getting my BSW, I worked for a little over a year. During the work period, I realized how much more education and training I would need to better serve my clients. That was my driving force pursuing an MSW degree.
Why did you choose BYU's social work program?
It is because the tuition is very inexpensive. As an international student, I always had to pay out of state tuition. And BYU has such good clinical program.
What are your career goals/aspirations?
My goals are to take whatever I learn here back to my hometown and serve the people over there. People look down on social work in Hong Kong. However, more and more people do need the services.
Tell us about your BYU Internship experience(s).
I LOVE interning at Deseret Industries here in Provo. My supervisor lets me explore everything and do whatever is needed to learn and put the things that I learned into practice. I learn a lot more about people with substance addictions. The environment is just wonderful.
